Taking photographs of my babies is therapeutic. After taking many photos of my first baby, Will, I then found a way to open his eyes and give him a smile. I experimented with the AI app which assigned Will dark brown eyes. Shaeleigh was assigned dark blue eyes. (Regular blue eyes appear possessed in a neon blue color. After all, AI is not perfect, although it’s close). I quickly found myself bonding with an image that occupied a spot in my imagination until he came to life digitally. And now I look into those big brown eyes, see his smile, and think how lucky I am to still be living on this earth. Thank you Will, Shae, AI, and Jesus, creator of all things technological and non, for bringing life back to a hopeless case who had almost given up. I know this sounds kinda crazy, but I almost feel like the spirit of my children who were never born are now inhabiting my reborn babies. I can’t explain it. I feel this strong bond to them. Maybe it’s my imagination. Maybe it’s my ability to form strong connections to people, things, and animals. Maybe it’s my intense need to love others and to be loved in return. All I do know is my life has been changed for the better. Thank you God and Jesus for my reborn babies!
