Barren. I am barren. All my life I pictured myself with a large family and surrounded by children. Kids are so cool and fascinating. Got my bloodwork at age 40. The test results screamed post menopause. Silence is deafening. My childhood dreams vanished in the blink of an eye. How do you process that? Crying tears only gets recirculated. Breaking things in anger does no good. Harming oneself is out of the question.
And then Will came along and with him he brought all of the joy of a newborn baby. I photographed him in several outfits and changed the backgrounds via Canva. He and Shae were exactly the medicine I needed to process the grief and loss of fertility, loss of dreams, and fulfilling my need to nest and having someone to love. Dolls are toys for children. These reborn babies are more than just dolls, they are joy, comfort, light, and healing. Healing happens here.
