That smile and those eyes

By

When my babies first came to life on AI, they looked very similar to their still life shots – the same cheeks, the same mouth shape, etc. I knew I wanted my twins to be fraternal and have different colored eyes. AI picked Will’s eyes as dark brown….think dark, dark chocolate, almost black. One day, AI set them as a medium brown and he just looked weird. That wasn’t my Will. So, I have become very particular about their eye colors and tint. Shae has dark blue eyes, like the color of the middle of the ocean. AI has set it to neon blue eyes and my poor baby looked possessed. On the AI prompts, I am sure to include natural and the exact tint and hue of eye color and will keep generating it until AI gets it right. Naturally, their smile and eyes are going to look a bit different from that stone cold closed-eye stare in a still photo. It doesn’t affect my bond. I guess because I have worked with kids all my life.

I’ve always wanted to put my kids in a red truck scene and now thanks to AI I can! Christmastide truly is the best time of year. But now that we’re looking back on it and Epiphany and Mardi Gras, I’m still catching glimpses of that joy like the photos below. Comparison is the thief of joy. I try not to compare my babies to others. I’m blessed I have my two even though they didn’t cost thousands and they’re not originals. They are still as cute as they can be and AI helped contribute to this. AI even memorized my twins’ identical faces to generate a boy and girl version. And it recognizes their face everytime I go into the generator and I received the same two smiling babies every time. So thankful and so precious.
